AWARENESS PROJECTS

EARTNET

AWARENESS PROJECTS

At EArtNet, we believe in the power of art to bring people together, inspire positive change and create a community of respect and hope.

Art can be a powerful tool for raising awareness. Art can be be used to show people a different perspective on life, helping to build understanding and make a positive impact on society. Through artwork, people whose lived experience is informed by rare diseases, disabilities and health challenges are given a unique and broad platform to share their stories. For some, art is their most effective tool for self-expression. Art can help bridge the gap between those directly impacted by illness and those who seek to understand, support and grow.

Our Awareness Projects provide a platform to explore different conditions. Each gallery showcases amazing artwork from talented artists, some who are living these conditions and others who are supportive, giving a platform to share their stories and experiences through visual expression. By donating proceeds from each sale to organizations that support research and provide care for those who need it the most while also providing an engaging space where people can grow and learn about different perspectives on life.

Browse through past or current projects to learn more about the events and organizations that we have selected. If still available, check out our Virtual Exhibits of these events.

If you are an Artist and want to participate or just someone who believes in the power of art to raise awareness and spread comfort, please let us know by emailing us at eartnet.artists@gmail.com. We would love to have you join our community!

Awareness Projects

Neurodivergent Project - Autism April 2023

This project aims to raise awareness of Autism and how Art has helped a lot of people finding a safe place. We are also interested in raising awareness of the condition. Most of the Artists participating in the Virtual Exhibit have different levels of Autism. We have children and adults among our Artists.

Disability Pride - July 2023

An opportunity to listen to and amplify the voices of those experiencing mental illness, intellectual and developmental, invisible and undiagnosed, physical and sensory disabilities.

Rare Disease Project - February 2024

There are more than 7,000 rare diseases affecting more than 300,000 people globally. But since a rare disease has fewer than 200,000 cases, finding treatment, care and understanding can be extremely difficult.

Multiple Sclerosis Project - March 2024

MS is a long-lasting (chronic) disease of the central nervous system. It is thought to be an autoimmune disorder, a condition in which the body attacks itself by mistake. It presents a wide range of symptoms and does not have a cure yet.

Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Project - May 2024

Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS) are a group of 13 heritable connective tissue disorders that affect connective tissue resulting in joint hypermobility, skin hyperextensibility, tissue fragility, digestive issues and more. It is considered a rare disease but it is estimated that it is under diagnosed and the numbers are much higher.

ME / CFS & Fibromyalgia Project - May 2024

Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) is a serious, long-term illness that affects many body systems. People with ME/CFS are often not able to do their usual activities. It can become very debilitating. It is estimated that 2.5 million American suffer this condition and most are not properly diagnosed.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic (long-lasting) disorder that causes pain and tenderness throughout the body, as well as fatigue and trouble sleeping. Scientists do not fully understand what causes it, but people with the disorder have a heightened sensitivity to pain.
